CNM’s core mission is to provide nonprofits with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. They work with more than 700 nonprofits annually to help them increase their fundraising results, improve program outcomes, strengthen board and staff performance, and more.
CNM understands they increase their capacity to lead by collaborating with strong partners. And the services they provide help our community nonprofit organizations increase their capacity in turn. Through that increased bandwidth comes innovative solutions and more collective impact.
Our perspective:
CNM received funding from THCI to provide training opportunities for nonprofit leaders in rural communities around DFW. One area of struggle these nonprofits identified was in marketing and communications. CNM sought a partner to help them develop strategically oriented training on this subject.
Texas Health Community Impact (THCI) identified improved determinants of health in communities where nonprofit organizations are collaborative and strategically focused on increased impact. Smaller organizations in rural communities have fewer opportunities for professional development, which can limit their capacity to grow.
How we solved the challenge:
M. Gale designed an intensive day-long training about The Art of Storytelling that included foundational elements of marketing, communications and public relations, aimed toward increased donor and volunteer engagement. Over one month, the sessions were delivered in a cohort model to a group of nonprofit peers in three rural counties.
Our client’s outcome:
“CNM is proud to have been able to partner with M. Gale to provide impactful training for rural nonprofit organizations. Helping nonprofit leaders learn how to tell their stories in meaningful ways leads to better outcomes for our neighbors and our communities!”
