In 2025, your partners at M. Gale are leaning into celebrating and advancing American generosity in all its forms. People and communities nationwide have always pulled together to help those in need. Today, whether it be helping a widespread crisis like the devastating wildfires in and around Los Angeles rendering thousands homeless, a neighbor experiencing illness, a family member, classmate or colleague in need, generosity is all around us.

As members of The Giving Institute and the Giving USA Foundation, M. Gale is excited to advance the work of The Generosity Commission in our north Texas region, kicking off with a free, in-person educational session in March.

The Generosity Commission was launched in 2021 as an independent project of the Giving USA Foundation™, whose mission is to advance research, education, and public understanding of philanthropy. It is a nonpartisan group of leaders from across the charitable sector committed to celebrating and supporting Americans’ spirit of generosity as expressed through everyday giving, volunteering, and other forms of civic engagement. Born out of a desire to better understand the decline in the number of people in America who are giving and volunteering, and its impact on civil society and democracy. Through research and conversations, the Generosity Commission is contributing to a national understanding about how individual givers and volunteers are reimagining generosity in powerful and positive ways.

The Generosity Commission concluded its work in Fall 2024 with recommendations, shared in its final report, here. These recommendations focus on ways that the business, nonprofit, and policy sectors can support and enable everyday giving and volunteering.

Inspired by The Generosity Commission’s findings, M. Gale is launching a new, interactive Executive Education Series on American Generosity. A community service for our nonprofit colleagues and friends, we aim to support exploration of the local philanthropic landscape and how you can inspire generosity wherever you are. We're launching the series with in-person sessions in north Texas.
